Understanding Brain Injury

Friday 25th July 2008 10:00am until 4:00pm at Oliver Zangwill Centre, Princess of Wales Hopsital, Lynn Road, Ely, Cambs, CB6 1DN. The Oliver Zangwill Interdisciplinary Team run this workshop for health and social services, support workers and family carers. The day will increase understanding of brain injury limitations, including cognitive, emotional and physical consequences. The day will briefly explore coping mechanisms, and discuss support services and organisations.

Understanding and Dealing with Behavioural Problems following Brain Injury: A Workshop

Friday 19th September 2008 until Saturday 20th September, 2008 at Gatwick Hilton, South Terminal, London Gatwick Airport, Crawley, Sussex, RH6 0LL. This two day interactive workshop is suitable for people working with adults who have emotional or behavioural problems following brain injury. The course focuses on developing an understanding of how and why such problems occur, and how best to assess and treat them.

Advanced Cognitive Rehabilitation Workshop: Attention & Information Processing

Friday 21st November 2008 until Saturday 22nd November, 2008 at Gatwick Hilton, South Terminal, London Gatwick Airport, Crawley, Sussex, RH6 0LL. This two day interactive workshop is suitable for professionals working with adults who have cognitive problems following brain injury. Attendees should ideally have completed the basic cognitive rehabilitation workshop.The course focuses on developing clinical expertise in the rehabilitation of attention and information processing deficits.
